VGDB: drawings, archive and inspections per building
Vastgoed Databank Nederland is one platform for a building’s drawings, archive and inspections, and the statutory obligations that go with them.
Databrein develops and runs VGDB for Vastgoeddatabank Nederland B.V. Every screen on this page shows test data from the fictional Gemeente Demodorp. The interface is in Dutch.

The problem
Drawings on a network drive and inspections in a spreadsheet. Anyone who needs a particular drawing, or wants to know which inspection is about to expire, has to go looking.
What we built
- Digitising
- Scanning paper drawings, making CAD drawings searchable.
- Archive
- Every file per building, floor and group.
- Laws & regulations
- Inspections and statutory obligations per building or portfolio, with their status and a warning before the expiry date.
- Property attributes
- Year of construction, floor area, energy label and other data per building.
- Contracts
- Contracts with their term and notice period.
Inspections and deadlines
For each building or across the whole portfolio, you see the status of every inspection and when it expires. The expiry date of an expired inspection shows in red, so it doesn’t get lost among the others.
How it runs
We develop VGDB and we keep it running. Prometheus monitors the platform around the clock; Grafana shows it. We use the same approach when we help your team with observability.
