About Databrein
We are software engineers. Our field is the technical side of buildings: drawings, installations, inspections and the regulations that apply to them.
How Databrein began
Databrein was founded in November 2025 by Bjørn Seerden and Bart Koopmans. Bjørn comes from the technical side of building, Bart from software engineering.
We saw a lot of potential in bringing those two worlds together: knowledge of buildings, drawings and inspections, and the craft of building software and keeping it running. We wanted to combine the best of both. That is how Databrein began: a software company with roots in building engineering.
What we do
We build software and we keep it running. You can see our own work in VGDB, which we develop and run for Vastgoeddatabank Nederland B.V.
We also build software for others, and help teams with observability and with AI at work.
Direct contact
We are a small company. You talk directly to the people who do the work; a question doesn’t go through an account manager first.
What we don’t do
- Not
Write advice reports that gather dust. We build it, set it up and teach your team to use it.
- Not
Run your systems or be on call for you. What we set up runs on your side.
- Not
Resell tools. We are not tied to any supplier and choose what suits you.
